Vaccines are like a training coarse for the immune system. They prepare body to fight disease without exposing it to disease symptoms. When foriegn invaders such as bacteria and viruses enter the body , immune cells called lymphocytes respond by producing antibodies which are protien molecules

Dont take it offensively but there are lots of immune cells of different types. Lymphocytes is a type of agranulocyte which is of two types B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produces Y shaped antibodies which neutralizes bacteria and viruses. T lymphocytes are of again 4 types. Cytotoxic T cells, Memory T cells, Helper T cells and regulatory T cells.

Vaccines are made up of dead and weakened disease causing organisms which when injected. Our body treats it like a foreign antigen which is harmful to us.Then our immunity system starts producing antibodies designed to kill the antigen of that specific organism and we get immune against that disease
