In Animals,

Food comes to buccal cavity. From buccal cavity it passes to pharynx, from pharnx it passes to oesophagous or food pipe it which a movement of food take place which break the food into tiny fragments. Then it passes to stomach here digistive juices act on that food and make it acidic. From stomach then food is passes to small intestine , there a finger like structure known as-microvilli absorbs the useful nutrients from the acidic food , then it passes to large intestine and then to anus and then waste food is removed out of the body with some toxic substances.

Hope it will help you.............
