HERE IS YOUR ANSWER. . . . . .

When population growth is coupled with excessive consumption of resources , problems multiply . Currently , 20 % of the world's people in highest income countries account for 86% of the total private consumption expenditures, while the poorest 20% consume only 1.3% . The unequal distribution of wealth and resources leads to oblivious waste and excess in the wealthy nations , and suffering in the resource -starved regions .

This inequality can be seen in the consumption of water in America when compared to other parts of the world.

The increase in the population will decrease the water table .

Explanation :-

→ Population is defined as the number of people living in an area .

→ If the population of an area increases , then there will be more number of people living in the area .

→ As the number of people living in an area increases , there will be more demand for shelter and for water .

→ This will lead to more withdrawal of the ground water .

→ Automatically the water table will decrease if more and more ground water is taken out from the ground .

→ This will lead to water scarcity if excessive water is taken out .

→ The ground water is defined as the water present under the surface of the Earth in conditions of 100 % saturation .
