n the poem 'My mother at sixty six',the poet wishes to convey the message of ageing and life. The main theme of the poem is circle of life. The poet tells us about the sights she comes across on her way to the airport like the young trees swaying along with the wind and the children with full of energy playing.Though all this might appear like simple things, they possess a deeper meaning, that is,everyone and everything on this Earth has a certain validity and we can't control or stop it when it's time for one to lose their youth and descend.Looking back at her mother's corpse like self, she understands that her mother has very little time left. But all she could was smile and hope that her mother would grace her with more heath the next time she visits.
