we have many organic substances in our body which are mainly formed Of carbon hydrogen and nitrogen
we take in oxygen for respiration
70% of our body weight is water a compound of non metals hydrogen and oxygen
all these are non metals

Non metals play an important role for the existence of human life. Carbon, a non-metal, is an important part of our food. Our body's more than half volume is water which is a compound of two non-metal gases i.e., hydrogen and oxygen. Without non-metals, the existence of life is not possible.
