How does our body respond when adrenaline is secreted into the blood?
Answers
Adrenaline is secreted directly into the blood and carried to different parts of the body. The target organs or the specific tissues on which it acts also include heart. As a result, the heart beats faster, resulting in supply of more oxygen to our muscles. The blood to the digestive system and skin is reduced due to contraction of muscles around small arteries in these organs. This diverts the blood to the skeletal muscles. The breathing rate also increases because of the contractions of the diaphragm and the rib muscles.
The adrenaline hormone prepare our body to function at maximum efficiency during emergency situation like danger ,anger ,excitement etc...
When we are faced with a dangerous situation then our nervous system stimulates the adrenal gland to secrete more adrenaline hormone into our blood.
These hormone increases our heart beats, breathing rate, blood flow into muscles and cause liver to put more stored glucose into our blood....
