Hello there,

The basic purpose of ploughing the field is to let the soil layers turn over each other. The upper layer brings in dead plant remains which decompose to form manure for plant roots.

Another benefit of ploughing is that it creates spaces between the soil which allows air to pass through it. these little air pockets make it easier for the roots to respire and in turn help in the plant growth.

Therefore ploughing is considered as a successful technique for efficient plant care and growth.

Thanks for asking.
