how does sodium chloride conduct electricity when dissolved in water

sodium chloride is NaCl when dissolved in water it disassociates into ions that is Na+ and Cl- which conduct electricity

When NaCl is added in H2O ,It splits into Na+ and Cl-.The Cl- ions will move towards cathode. H2O also split into H+ and OH- ions.This splitting cause the electricity to be generated.
