things which we use in our surroundings when satisfies or completes our needs are called resources. Things become resources when they have a value. A resource gains it's value by how it used or their utility. For example-- water is used for drinking, food is used for eating, pencil is used for writing ........etc.

  • An object becomes a resource, it the true potential of the object is learned. This is possible by researching the properties of the object and trying to find its application in real life.
  • Thus building a resource begins with knowing about an object to its fullest. The process by which an object becomes a resource is called ‘Value addition’.
  • A resource becomes an essential part of daily life if it reduces the problems around us thus helping to aid the process in day to day activity. There are two types of resources which are Natural and Man-made.  
  • Water is a natural resource while computers are Man-made resources.
