The central government can make laws that can be amended across the country. It has the power to govern the states by making laws as it is more powerful than the state governments.
The basic structure of the central government is classified under three levels.
Executive level: President and the vice-president. Works: Making decisions on bills, framing election laws, drafting all principal legislation.
Legislature level: the parliament
Judiciary level: Supreme Court, high courts in every states and district courts
