how does the focal length of the eye lense change when we shift from a distance object to nearby object

here's your answer..

when we look far objects then focal length is increased by relaxation of ciliary muscles(eye lens become thin), but seeing the nearby objects makes our ciliary stretched (eye lens become thick) so focal length decreases.
