concepts : when graph of any function , f(x) is given in such a way that period of this graph is k . now after drawing graph f(ax), period of f(ax) will be k/a.
actually, if we put ax in place of x in any function , graph of new function, f(ax) will compress by factor a.
for example: any function f(x) = sinx is given and we have to find graph of f(2x) = sin2x.
what we have to do ? nothing just compress the sinx graph by factor 2.
e.g., period of sin2x = 2π/2 = π.
