Plant cells can contain as many as several hundred smaller versions. The Golgi apparatus receives proteins and lipids (fats) from the roughendoplasmic reticulum. It modifies some of them and sorts, concentrates and packs them into sealed droplets called vesicles.

Animal cell contain more golgi bodies as they are not protected by cell wall and they are more exposed to injuries.
Since golgi bodies help in reparations. That is way it is present more in animal cell.
