1. Aravllis range act as barrier and stops winds to enter in thar desert and due to it there is less than 20 cm rainfall and makes it extreme hot.
2.Simirarly in interior paets of western ghats. Hills of both ghats stops wind from raining.
3.The hills in MASYNRAM lock the win inside it and does not allow to move outside for several months and hence, there is more than 400 cm rainfall. Masynram is also called the WESTEST PLACE IN THE WORLD.
