the waves in the near by lake seemed to be dancing and also sparkling due to the sun's rays falling on them. But the beauty of daffodils surpassed the beauty of sparkling waves. The poet feels that he could not be anything but happy in such a gleeful company

William Wordsworth said that daffodils danced , swayed in the wind and their dance was more gracious than the waves which were dancing at the sea.

The poet gave more priority to the beauty of the dance of the daffodils than the waves .

Hence the daffodils were different from the waves .
