Answer:

printing is both art and science of transferring image from one surface to another surface by means of ink for thousands of impressions without changing its size of quality. Most of them have the idea that technical printing was first of all invented in Japan in 770.

A story related to this event is that disease - chicken pox was spread in Japan. The British monk of Japan of one advised to the queen "sho-to-ku", that if the people in the country pray to God regularly this will go away. Few lines of prayer were told to her.

Now, It was a problem for the queen to reach the prayer to the public so she decided that a number of copies should be made and distributed among the public as she know the "necessity, the mother of invention". So the queen brought out a solution for her problem, then enlisted the following things for making copies of the prayer.

1. Paper

2. Ink

3. Printing surface

Paper had been invented sometimes ago. This paper was available and she used to it. Instead of ink she used 'Kajol'; printing Matter was ready by engraving on the smooth surface of square wooden block. Ink was supplied on that wooden block. The paper was put on it and pressed with flat object. In this way the Angry outline of the prayer on the wooden piece got printed on to the paper. Thus the paper was distributed among the people.

This is how, hand printing technology was introduced in Japan.
