⇒ Modern farming methods include the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides thus can harm the soil fertility. 

⇒ Modern farming methods and pesticides mix inside with the ground water and can cause ground water depletion .

⇒ The use of HYV seeds requires lot of water for irrigation. This cannot be benefited by everyone.
