Cell theory states that:
-All organisms are made up of one or more cells.
-The cell is the basic unit of life.
-Cells originate from cells that are already existing.
Applicability in human beings and amoeba:
i)Both human beings and amoeba are made up of cells. Human beings are multi-cellular while the amoebas are single-celled.
ii)In both the human beings and the amoeba, the constituting cells are the the basis of life in these organisms. The cells that make up the human being and the amoeba cell carry out all necessary processes for the survival of these organisms.
iii)The cells in human beings and an amoeba cells originate from other cells that existed before them. All human cells arise from the division of a fertilized ovum after conception while the amoeba is the product of the division of a previous amoeba that existed before it.
