how impurities affect the freezing point liquids?

{\huge{\boxed{\sf{\green{❥✰Answer✰}}}}}

When impurities is added ,Its freezing point decrease.

Reason :-

The depression in freezing point increase with increase in concentrate of solute because on adding the solute ,vapour pressure became lower than that of pure solvent .

hence ,freezing occurs at lower temperature .

For example :-

Freezing point of water is 0° c under normal atmospheric pressure .If we add salt ,the freezing point decrease .

Answer:

==>EFFECT OF IMPURITIES ON FREEZING POINT:

When impurity is added , Its freezing point decreases. ... The depression in Freezing point increases with increase in concentrate of solute because on adding the solute, vapour pressure becomes lower than that of pure solvent. Hence freezing occurs at lower temperature.

Explanation:

==>The presence of impurities lowers (depresses) the freezing point of a liquid. The impurities lower the vapour pressure of the solution so that ice can melt at a lower temperature. ... EFFECT OF IMPURITIES ON FREEZING POINT: When impurity is added , Its freezing point decreases.

==>Presence of impurities in the substance affects the boiling point and freezing points of a substance. It makes variation in the freezing points and boiling points by making them low or high. Substances that have no impurities or Pure substances have proper boiling and freezing points .

==>Impurities in a solid cause a melting point depression because the impurity disrupts the crystal lattice energies. ... The more concentrated the solute, the greater the interference and the lower the freezing point of the solution. This concept can be applied to melting point (or freezing point) of a pure compound.
