how is aluminium used to join railway tracks?

Since Al is more reactive than Fe so it is used in order to displace FE from its oxide so that we could get Fe that we want to join railway tracks.

aluminium is roasted in presence of oxygen when this process used large amount of heat produced which melt aluminium and join track
