on large scale ammonia is formed by the Haber's process:

N2 + 3H2 -----> 2 NH3

Optimum condition : 400-500°C temperature
200 atm pressure
Fe catalyst with KOH

Hello,

Ammonia can prepare by reacting the nitrogen with hydrogen in the presence of a metal catalyst under high temperature and high pressure.

N2 + 3H2 --------> 2 NH3

Haber process is used to prepare ammonia on large scale.

The optimum conditions required for the production of Ammonia by Haber process:

1. The temperature should be 450 degree Celsius to obtain proper ammonia yield.

2. High pressure is required.

3. Presence of a metal catalyst is required.

Hope it helped.
