How is caecum in humans different from the one in herbivores like rabbit

In herbivores, caecum is a bit larger and stores the food for sometime to digest the cellulose in the plant based diet, with the help of bacteria. In Humans, as we are omnivores, we have a caecum, comparitively tiny, serving no purpose in digestion except be a host to some bacteria and as a connector between the large and small intestines.
