Sublimation is a process where the compound changes its state from solid to directly into vapours escaping the liquid state. ... On heating sand does not change its state but camphor on heating changes to vapor and sand is left behind. Thus, mixture of sand and camphor is purified by sublimation.

Answer:

By the process of sublimation

Explanation:

Sublimation is the process by which a more volatile(can be converted into vapours) substance is separated from a non-volatile (cannot be converted into vapours) substance.

Camphor is a sublime so by heating the mixture of fine sand and camphor, camphor will evaporate and fine sand will be left.
