Hey, here is your answer

Good manufactured in the leaf is required for use by all other parts of the plant. Glucose is formed in the leaf very rapidly during photosynthesis and it cannot be transported to other parts with the same rapidity. So, several molecules of Glucose join together to form insoluble starch for temporary storage in the leaf. At night, thus starch is re converted into soluble sugar. This sugar in the form of sucrose is transported in solution through the veins of the leaf and down through the pholem of the stem. In this way it gets transported to different parts of the plant.

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

  • Food is prepared in leaves by photosynthesis.
  • This food is transported to other organs through phloem.
  • It is then stored in roots, fruits, etc.

● Phloem -

  • It is found superficial in stems
  • It transports organic solutes & food
  • Here, conduction takes place via sieve tubes
  • It require energy for transport.

Hope this helped you. Keep asking questions dear..
