after digestion,as glucose is a soluble molecule it can diffuse into the blood stream through the walls of small intestine. this process is called absorption.

hi mate,
=> we know that the Glucose is absorbed in small intestine by absorptive cells.
=> The process of transport of glucose from intestinal lumen into the absorptive cell has two stages.
=> In the first stage sodium ion from inside the cells are transported to interstitial fluid.
=> This leads to low sodium concentration inside the cell.
=> we know that theActive transport is the movement of dissolved molecules into or out of a cell through the cell membrane, from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration.
=>... uptake of glucose by epithelial cells in the villi of the small intestine. uptake of ions from soil water by root hair cells in plants.
i hope it helps you.
