TRANSPORT OF OXYGEN
most of the oxygen is carried by haemoglobin molecule as oxyhaemoglobin in the RBCs By oxyhaemoglobin oxygen is transported from the lungs capillaries to the different cells and tissues of the body rest of the oxygen that is 3% gets resolved in the blood plasma and carried by blood
TRANSPORT OF CARBON DIOXIDE
most of the carbon dioxide that is 70 to 80% is transported by blood plasma in the form of Bicarbonate ion it reacts with water molecules to form bicarbonate and transport it from body tissue towards lung surface
about 20 to 25% of carbon dioxide combines with haemoglobin to form Carbamino hemoglobin and transported through the blood and a very little amount of carbon dioxide about 5% gets dissolved in plasma also
.......
hope it helps
