> Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther to the stigma of a flower. When the pollen grain reaches the stigma, a pollen tube is formed which extends till the ovary of the flower where eggs (female gametes) are present.
> There the process of fusion occurs between the male and female gametes which result in formation of a zygote. This process of fusion is called fertilisation.
