the sound is produced when something vibrates and sound is propagated  through air as a longitudinal wave. The speed of sound is determined by the properties of the air, and not by the frequency or amplitude of the sound hope my answer is helpful to u if u like my answer please mark as brainliest thanks

Sound is a form of energy which gives us sensation of hearing.
Sound is produced by vibrating objects.
For eg: sound is produced when a sitar string vibrates.
Propagation of Sound:
Sound needs a medium for propagation that is solid, liquids and gases.
sound waves are longitudinal waves.
when an object vibrated then the air layers around it start vibrating in exactly same way and carry sound waves from the sound producing object to our ears.
