For overall personality development and good placements Manipal is good the reason behind this is the 50% reservation in VJTI, and most of the students might lack communication skills . VJTI gives u good placements but it still lacks some good companies like Daimler, Volvo, Bosch, Philips etc when compared to the core engg fields in manipal, and mech in particular.
