The sex of an individual is determined with the help of chromosomes that are X and Y.
The male is responsible for the sex determination since he has two type of chromosome in a pair – X for girl and Y for a boy.
Whereas female only have one type of chromosomes that is X and X.
The fusion of XX will produce a girl whereas XY will be a boy.
