Small intestine is perfectly designed for food absorption that is by the presence of brush border appearance called villi

Villi had small microprojections called microvilli on the surface of the villi

Villi contains large number of blood vessels and a large lymph vessel called lacteal this absorbs the food material and transport them through the blood vessels to other parts
