The actual structure of K3CrO8 is K3[Cr(O2)4] and IUPAC name is potassium tetraperoxochromate(V)
Here the coordination sphere carry -3 charge because 3 K+ ion out side the sphere.
Cr is bonded to 4 peroxo ligands.The formal charge on peroxo ligand is -2.
Let the oxidation state of Cr = x
x + 4*(-2) = -3
x = +5
