Quantity of electricity = Current x time

Q = It

Q = 1.02 x (15x60)

    = 918C

Faraday's constant = 96485.333 C/mol

Moles of electrons = 918/96485.333

                              = 0.0095

Cl- = Cl + e-

To liberate 1 mole of Cl, we need 1 mole of electrons

Number of moles of Cl atoms liberated = 0.0095

Mass of chlorine liberated = 0.0095 x 35.5

                                          = 0.33725g
