1800 cartons with length 40 cm, breadth 30 cm, and height 25 cm can be packed in a container truck whose length breadth and height are 6m, 3m and 3m respectively.

• Given,

Length of one carton (l) = 40 cm

Breadth of the carton (b) = 30 cm

Height of the carton (h) = 25 cm

• A carton is a cuboid.

Volume of a cuboid = l × b × h

• Therefore,

Volume of one carton = 40 cm × 30 cm × 25 cm

• Also given,

Length of the truck (l') = 6 m = 600 cm

Breadth of the truck (b') = 3 m = 300 cm

Height of the truck (h') = 3 m = 300 cm

• A truck is also in the shape of a cuboid.

Therefore, volume of the container truck = l' × b' × h' = 600 cm × 300 cm × 300  cm

Number of cartons that can be packed in the container truck =

Volume of the truck / Volume of one carton

Number of cartons that can be packed = (600 × 300 × 300) cm³ / (40 × 30 × 25) cm³ = 1800 cartons
