Now ,

Required numbers = b - a + 1

= 2999 - 1000 + 1

= 3000 - 1000

= 2000

Now, let us consider x as 1000 and y as 2999

Therefore, b - a + 1 

→ 2999 - 1000 + 1

→ 3000 - 1000
