How many grams of ch3oh should be added to water to prepare 150 ml solution of 2m ch3oh?

molarity=moles of solute/volume of solution in litres

therefore, moles of solute =molarity *volume of solution

= 2M*(150*10-3 )L

= 0.3mol

molar mass of CH3OH=12+1*3+16+1=32gm/mol

mass CH3OH = mole of solute*molar mas

= 0.3*32

=9.6g

therefore 9.6gm of CH3OH should be added to water .ans
