How many metre of carpet 75 cm wide will be required to cover the floor of a room which is 12 metre long and 8 metre wide

Given that, the floor of the room is 12 m long and 8 m wide.

So, the area of the floor is

= length of the floor * width of the floor

= 12 * 8 m²

= 96 m²

= 96 * 100² cm²

= 960000 cm²

Thus, the length of the carpet

= \frac{area\:of\:the\:floor}{width\:of\:the\:carpet}

= \frac{960000}{75} cm

= 12800 cm

= \frac{12800}{100} m

= 128 m
