Herbivores are plant eaters and plants have many cellulose in it which is harder to get digested whereas carnivores are meat eaters and they don't contain any cellulose in it. Cellulose is difficult to get digested so they have a longer and larger intestine than carnivores.

We know that Herbivores have larger and longer small intestine because they are plant - eating animals and therefore consume cellulose along their food. Cellulose takes a longer time to digest and thus a larger and longer small intestine is required.
