Answer:
To calculate no. of molecules, first calculate it's atomic weight, i.e.
1(C)+2(O)=1(12)+2(16)= 44
Therefore the molecular weight of CO2 is 44.
Now, calculate the no. of moles in 0.1 gm of CO2 , for that divide the given quantity (0.1) of CO2 by it's atomic weight, i.e.
0.1/44=0.00227 ~ 0.0023 or 2.3* 10^-3 moles
Then finally multiply no. of moles by the Avogadro constant (i.e. 6.022*10^23), it gives the no. of CO2 molecules in 0.1 gm
i.e. (2.3 *10^-3) * (6.022*10^23) = 13.85 * 10^20
