the area of one window pane= 25×16
=400cm sq.
so area of 12 window panes = 400 cm sq. × 12
=48000 cm sq.

\bigstar Given:

  • Length of the glass pane = 25 cm
  • Breadth of the glass pane = 16 cm
  • No. of panes = 12

\bigstar To Find:

  • Square meters of glass will be required for the window.

\bigstar Solution:

We know that,

Area of rectangle = Length \times Breadth

Area of one glass pane = 25\:cm \times 16\: cm

\implies 400^{2}

\boxed{1\: m^{2} = 10000 \: cm^{2} }

\implies 0.04 \: m^{2}

Area of 12 panes  =12 \times 0.4 = \boxed{\underline{\underline{0.48 \: m^{2} }}}

Thus, area of 12 panes is 0.48 square metres.
