area of rectangular cloth = length * breadth
                                    =1 m * 38 cm
                                    =100 cm * 38 cm
                                    =3800 cm²
area of square piece =  side * side
                               = 2 * 2
                               = 4 cm²
now,
number of square pieces = area of rectangular cloth / area of square piece
                                    =3800 cm²/4 cm²
                                    =950

Area of large rectangular cloth = l * b
                                             = 100*38
                                             = 3800 cm²
Area of square piece =  side²
                               = 2²
                               = 4 cm²
No. of pieces = area of rectangular cloth / area of square piece
                    = 3800/4
                    = 950

950 square pieces can be cut.
