how. many square tiles of side 10 centimetre will be needed to tile a floor which is 300 cm long and 500 cm wide

area of rectangle =l×b =300×500 =150000
area of squar = 10×10=100
no of tiles = 150000/100 =1500

heya!

here's ur answer...

given the length of the side of square tile is 10cm.

hence area of the tile=side²

=10×10

=100cm²

given the length of the floor is 300cm and breadth is 500cm.

area of the floor=l×b

=500×300

=150000cm²

therefore no. of tiles required for the floor =150000/100

=1500tiles

hence 1500 tiles are required.
