There are six states and union territories that have more than 50 percent tribal population. In other words, the tribal population exceeds 50 percent in four states and two union territories. The four states are Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Meghalaya. The two union territories are Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep.
States like Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Maharastra,Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal are the Indian states that has population that holds more than 50 percent of tribal population.
