                                    = 2 ( 120 + 90 )

                                    = 2 ( 210 )

                                    = 420 m

The trees are to be planted at a distance of 8 m from the tree next to it .

Here we can use cross multiplication method :-

          Trees                     Distance   ( in meters )

             1             =                  8

             x             =               420

∴ x = 420 × 1 ÷ 8

∴ x = 52.5

Here we assumed the number of trees to be x and x = 52.5

[ HALF TREE CANNOT BE PLANTED ]

So total number of trees that can be planted are 52
