The banks which come under scheduled category are usually certified under the second schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act of 1934.Some of the prominent examples of scheduled banks include commercial banks and cooperative banks,all private sector banks,all public sector banks such as SBI,PNB,Baroda Bank etc.,foreign banks(Citibank,Standard Chartered,HSBC),rural finance banks and so forth.
