1)If we touch the mimosa plant at one point all the leaflets show the folding movement

2) this indicates that the stimulus at one point is like communicated

3) in animals there is no specialised tissue in plants for transmitting the information

4) THE FOLDING EFFECT IS CAUSED BY A CHANGE IN THE TURGIDITY OF THE LEAFLETS BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE MOVEMENT OF WATER INTO AND OUT OF THE PARENCHYMATOUS CELLS OF THE PULVINUS OR SWOLLEN LEAF BASE
