here charge(q)=1 coulomb..potential difference(v)=6volt
.....
V=work done/charge
work =v×charge
.....or w=v×q =energy
energy=6×1
=6joule

the energy given to each column of charge is equal to the amount of work which is done in moving in.
now we know that

potential difference=
work done =potential difference ×charge where ,charge =1c and potential difference =6v
work done=6×1=6joule
