IN THE CONVERSION OF SOLID TO LIQUID 334 Kj ENERGY IS USED UP BY THE SOLID TO OVER COME THE FORCES OF ATTRACTION BETWEEN THE PARTICLES OF MATTER , DURING THIS PROCESS THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE TEMPERATURE . AND THE HEAT APPLIED DURING PROCESS IS KNOWN AS THE LATENT HEAT.SO WHEN WATER REACHES ITS BOILING POINT THEN THERE'S NO FURTHER RISE IN TEMPERATURE.THIS IS BECAUSE THE EXTRA HEAT(2260 Kj) IS USED UP BY THE PARTICLES OF MATTER/WATER TO OVERCOME THE FORCES OF ATTRACTION AND TURN TO VAPOUR, DURING THE PROCESS THIS AMOUNT OF ENERGY IS RELEASED BY THE VAPOUR TO TURN TO THE WATER OR LIQUID FORM I.E 2260 Kj ENERGY IS RELEASED BY THE VAPOUR TO TURN TO WATER.
HOPE THIS TIME AM HELPFUL TO U PLS MARK THIS TIME PLS.........
