2 ltr of an ideal gas :V1=2ltr, P1 =5 atm, T=constant ,V2=5 atm.
P2=(V1×P1)/V2 = 2 atm.
work done =integration of P dV from V1 to V2.
=integration of [(P1×V1)/V]×dV =10×[lnV1 - ln V2]
=10×(ln2-ln5) = 10×0.916×10^5×10^-3 =916 k joule .
this is the work done in expansion of the gas as the gas remains at the same temperature, there is no change in internal energy so heat absorbed is =916 kj
sorry I can't find integration sign, hope you understand and it will help y.
