How old data can we obtain from isotopes?

Hey !!
Most of the isotopes of elements are radioactive.
They decays at a constant rate . Or their decay is constant and almost every radioactive element decays with
1st order kinetics .

Thus by the amount of saMple remaining we can tell the age of substance .

This process is known as Dating of substances .
